The Los Angeles Theatre Academy (LATA) is a multilingual theatre arts organization committed to providing children and adults a safe and welcoming space to express their creativity onstage and behind-the-scenes.
Our programs encourage students to find their creative voice through immersion in a complete theatrical education that includes acting, directing, set design, production, writing and more. Our LATA Ensemble performs alongside professional Artists throughout Los Angeles County, as well as producing and presenting a summer festival and holiday show in our amphitheatre in Elysian Park.
We believe nurturing creativity in children results in a more compassionate and happy adult. LATA is dedicated to providing every student the tools they need to find their creative voice.
MISSION
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and enrich the lives of our students through an education in theatre arts. We are planting the seeds for future generations of creative and self-reliant individuals; theatre is our mission.
